Why I study Nonviolent Communication

  • It supports me in being present in the world while acting in alignment with my values.
  • The clarity I now have about my values and reasons for doing what I do centers me throughout each day.
  • I am more effective in expressing my heartfelt hopes in ways that are more easily heard by others.
  • I am more effective in hearing what is most meaningful to others when they speak, allowing me greater connection and trust with them.
  • I am thrilled to be developing a worldwide community that is working toward making the world a place where the needs of all people can be met.
  • It provides me with a practical map to integrate the various teachings that have instructed me during my life.
  • I love the freedom of inner-outer congruency.
  • Contributing to people all over the world is FUN!

Kathleen’s Fall 2008 NVC Academy Telecourses

The NVC Academy is an excellent resource to learn NVC in the comfort of your home or office. This on-line resource allows easy access to CNVC trainers around the world. I encourage you to explore the variety of programs they offer. Go to www.nvctraining.com/12 and check out the possibilities.

To access the telecourses once you are at the site, click on "our programs" then "telecourses," Kathleen's doing two telecourses this fall-- "A Leaderful Life: Moving Toward Effective Leadership" and "NVC Infused Classrooms." Telecourses have the added benefit of studying with others from around the world. Audio downloads by Kathleen and other CNVC trainers are also available under "our programs," then "audio downloads."

You Design the Training and Choose the Location

About half of the work I do is on site at a location chosen by others. I travel far and wide to collaborate with individuals around issues affecting specific communities and organizations. Are there places in your life where you desire more efficient and compassionate cultures—workplace, schools, nonprofit organizations, churches, or neighborhoods? Perhaps you are creating a conference where you’d like to have Nonviolent Communication presented.

I'd love to work with you to design a training that will support you in creating the kind of world you want to live in. Bring training that supports living consciously in alignment with your values to your community. Contact me at Kathleen@StrengthofConnection or 206-780-1021 to explore this option further.
