Program: This International Intensive Training (IIT) is a 9-day, Nonviolent Communication “immersion experience.” It is a residential workshop led by a team of experienced CNVC certified trainers. The purpose of this IIT training is to offer people the opportunity to live the process of Nonviolent Communication in community over an extended period of time, in order to develop Nonviolent Communication knowledge, skills and consciousness.

Robert KrzisnikTrainer: Robert Krzisnik, MS c. Psych:   has been working for 27 years with individuals and groups as psychotherapist, trainer, team coach, complex meeting facilitator and conflict mediator in a wide spectrum of environments: from corporate to educational to personal and spiritual retreats. While all his work is infused with the spirit and the approach of Nonviolent Communication, he is also a dedicated practitioner of Art of Hosting practices, and an explorer of inter-cultural communication. In Nonviolent Communication he is most passionate about its spiritual aspects, as well as its use in conflict mediation (between individuals, within groups and between groups). He has shared NVC on IITs, retreats, and workshops throughout Europe and in the US, Mideast and Asia. Since his early teenage years, Robert has been eagerly exploring the spiritual realms of Self and the Whole, as well as existential questions of life, through numerous inward journeys and travels around this wonderful world. He is also an eager practitioner of Contact Improvisation, which he sees as a form of embodied NVC. He lives in Slovenia, a small country in Europe, which used to be a part of a country that does not exist anymore, but still resides in his heart—Yugoslavia. Kathleen MacFerranTrainer: Kathleen Macferran
Kathleen holds a vision for a peaceful, just and sustainable world. She has worked as a Certified Trainer for CNVC since 2003 and serves as an assessor with CNVC by supporting trainer candidates through a community-based certification process.  Offering communication and conflict resolution exploration is a passion of hers having worked with organizations and individuals including businesses, schools, colleges, community groups, faith-based communities, hospitals, families, prison inmates, and correctional and law enforcement employees. Kathleen is on the faculty of Seattle Central Community College where she offers courses in Conflict Management.

Kathleen enjoys exploring ways to engage with conflict in life-serving ways through the development of restorative systems. She serves as a lead trainer for the Freedom Project of Seattle, an affiliate organization of CNVC that strengthens community safety by supporting the transformation of prisoners into peacemakers. Kathleen offers trainings in concrete skills of nonviolence leading to reconciliation with ourselves, our loved ones and the community. For over 25 years Kathleen has explored ways to restore harmony to communities. Her experience includes two decades as a music conductor and leader of a nonprofit organization, and seven years as a public school teacher. Her website is www.StrengthofConnection.com. Frank GaschleTrainer: Frank Gaschler His passions are children and families. His need is to affect something and contribute to their lives. His desire is that children can be children and parents are companions and also men and women stay with their own needs as men and women. His wish is that parents give their children roots and wings on their way. His contributions are trainings, counseling, mediation, coaching, books. He is a Certified Trainer for Nonviolent Communication ( CNVC ), and an assessor with CNVC to support trainer candidates through a certification process, systemic mediator in companies and organizations, a coach, graduate social worker (FH) … Together with Gundi, his wife, they developed the “Giraffentraum” program to introduce NVC to kindergartens and schools. This program runs in several countries all over the world. In addition, they have worked on NVC family camps in Germany, Austria and the USA. He love to experience NVC off the beaten track – apart the limitations of words and languages. Frank focuses on intuition, empathic presence, body language and felt feelings and loves to play and enjoy miracles. He lives with his wife Gundi, their two daughters, son in law, Gundi’s mother and grandmother and thei little dog near Munich / Germany. Visit his website here

Anna MillsTrainer: Anna Mills: Ania has been incorporating NVC into her everyday life since it was first introduced into Poland, with her help, in 2001: while working for Peacemaker Community, she organized NVC founder Marshall Rosenberg’s visits. She subsequently studied not only with Marshall, but also with international trainers in France, Hungary, Poland, Sweden, and the United States.

An NVC trainer since 2003, Ania became a CNVC Certified Trainer in 2008. She has led or co-led trainings in NVC and NVC Mediation in Italy, France, Germany, Greece, Korea, and Australia. Ania also works with groups and couples and has facilitated workshops for the education sector, government organizations, NGOs, and businesses.

Venue: The Immanuel Conference Center

The Immanuel Conference Center is a retreat and conference facility situated on 40 acres of a beautiful countryside in the Czech Highlands, about 90 miles east of Prague.

By Airplane:

The closest international airports include Letišt? Tu?any in Brno (106 km), Václav Havel airport in Prague (137 km) and Wien-Schwechat (288 km).

By car:

Traveling by car from Prague takes about 2 hours. Detailed directions are here.

Traveling from Brno takes about 1,5 hours and is described here. At the end of your journey: When coming from the South, turn left when you see the sign “Pardubický Kraj”. When coming from the North, turn right when you see the sign “Kraj Vyso?ina”. In both cases, you can see the Centre in 100 m.

By public transportation:

The closest bus stop is “Slavíkov, Dlouhý” (right at the Centre) and the nearest railway stop is Stružinec (4 km from the Centre).

From Prague, you can take a direct bus on 4 November at 14:25 to “Ždírec nad Doubravou, cukrárna” (7 km from the Centre). The trip takes less than 3 hours. We highly recommend booking tickets in advance. Alternatively, you can take a rapid train from Prague to Pardubice or Havlí?k?v Brod and a local train from there to Stružinec.

From Brno, take a rapid train to Havlí?k?v Brod and a slow train from there to Stružinec.

If coordinated in advance, the Centre is able to pick up groups of travelers from stations within the distance of 10 km – we will help you coordinate the requests.

We ask you to wait until your registration in the IIT has been confirmed before booking travel reservations.

Fee: Total IIT Fees consists of a tuition fee (payable in US Dollars to CNVC) and accommodation fee (payable to the venue) – as outlined in the table below.

Early Bird Discount: Get 15% off tuition on payments received in full by March 4, 2016 (6 months prior to start of IIT). Tuition Fee Payable to  CNVC under this option is $1,989.

Get 10% off tuition on payments received in full by June 4, 2016 (3 months prior to start of IIT). Tuition Fee Payable to  CNVC under this option is $2,106.

Other discounts: If you are a registered certification candidate with CNVC or have attended a CNVC IIT before, we offer you 15% discount off tuition (not to be combined with other offers).

How to register

  1. Click here to fill out the on-line IIT Application Form, tuition payment are in US Dollars to CNVC.
  2. Applications sent before October 4, 2016 need to include full or partial payment, with a minimum of $100. The balance is due on October 4, 2016. For applications sent on or after October 4, 2016 please include full tuition fee.
  3. CNVC usually acknowledges your application within 5 business days; please contact the IIT department if you did not receive an acknowledgment within this time.
  4. Once you have been enrolled, the organizer will provide you with details about the accommodation according to your choices. Payment regarding  the accommodation will be directly to the venue at the IIT.
